The 268 model offers an ideal balance of cargo capacity and fuel-efficiency in the Class 6 range of trucks. The 268 is excellent for city “stop and go” delivery operations that require the versatility of a truck with a payload capacity of up to 11,000 lbs. This model is also available with a combination air suspension/air brake package. Available wheel bases: 205 to 271 inches.

The 268 is equipped with the Hino 220 H.P. J-Series OHC 4-valve turbocharged, intercooled 6- cylinder engine.

The 268 comes standard with a 6-speed Eaton FS5406A manual transmission and an optional 6- speed Allison 2200RDS automatic transmission. Braking is accomplished through a hydraulic dual circuit system with ABS.

The 2009 268 Hino comes standard with air-conditioning, cruise-control, tilt and telescopic steering, electric windows, AM/FM CD player, an adjustable reclining air-suspension seat, selfadjusting clutch (M/T models only), oil-lubricated front-wheel bearings, a chrome bumper and a chrome grille.
