The Hino 185 comes standard with a 5-speed Eaton FS4205A manual transmission and an optional 4-speed AISIN 450-43LE or Allison RDS automatic transmission. Braking is accomplished through a hydraulic disc system with ABS or exhaust brake.

The 2008 Hino 185 comes standard with air-conditioning, tilt and a telescopic steering wheel, electric windows, AM/FM, CD player, spring suspension seat and a chrome grille.
