The 268 model offers an ideal balance of cargo capacity and fuel-efficiency in the Class 6 range of trucks. The 268 is excellent for city “stop and go” delivery operations that require the versatility of a truck with a payload capacity of over 12,000 lbs. This model is also available with a combination air suspension/air brake package. Available wheel bases: 175 to 253 inches.

The 268 is equipped with the Hino 220 H.P. J-Series OHC 4-valve turbocharged, intercooled 6-cylinder engine.

The 268 comes standard with a 6-speed Eaton FS5406A manual transmission and an optional 5-speed Allison 2200 RSD automatic transmission. Braking is accomplished through a hydraulic disc system with ABS or exhaust brake.

The 2008 260 Hino comes standard with air-conditioning, cruise-control, tilt and telescopic steering, electric windows, AM/FM, CD player, coil spring or air suspension seat, self-adjusting clutch, oil-lubricated front-wheel bearings, a 3-piece front bumper and a chrome grille.
