The 338H is suited for heavy-duty applications, car-carrying, building materials delivery, general freight and reefer bodies. It has a load capacity of 12,000 lbs. Available wheel bases: 205 to 271 inches.

The 338H is equipped with the Hino 220 H.P. J-Series OHC 4-valve turbocharged, intercooled 6-cylinder engine.

The 338H comes standard with a 6-speed Eaton FS6406A manual transmission with the option of a 5-speed Allison 2500 RDS automatic transmission. Braking is accomplished through a hydraulic dual circuit with ABS or exhaust brake.

The 2008 338H Hino comes standard with air-conditioning, cruise-control, tilt and telescopic steering, electric windows, AM/FM, CD player, an adjustable reclining coil-suspension seat, a 3-piece front bumper and a chrome grille.
